The Stolen Lollipops and Girlfriend Dreams of Herbie Popnecker
I'm running a trifle late today...I'm going to let "Herbie" #2 speak for itself!
Talk to you soon.

This second story ought to settle any disputes over whether Herbie is (among other things) a stand-in for comic geeks everywhere! Thanks for posting.
A lot of younger readers probably miss out on then-contemporary catchprhases, such as the one on p. a-10. This will explain it:

Is there a reason you left out the one- and two-page features like "Nellie No-Date," and, in this issue, "Kitchy Witch"? They may not be HERBIE, but deserve some notice just for having the same creative team.
No reason other than the fact that I was unaware of them :). Thanks for dropping by and posting the link. Ironically or not, when I checked out the YouTube video for a classic Hertz commercial, a modern ad for Hertz was sponsoring it.

That's why we all cheer for Herbie! ;)
