Nemo number 2: Newspaper Super Heroes and Fred Harman's "On the Range"

Two more articles from "Nemo: the Classic Comics Library" issue 2 from August 1983.

First up, Ron Goulart's look at the brief but influential foray of super heroes into the daily newspaper comic strip experience...

And famed Red Ryder creator Fred Harman's lesser known strip "On the Range", showing just what a fancier of the wild and woolly west this cartoonist was. My apologies for these being a little difficult to read, they were shrunk a wee bit much by the good folks at "Nemo". In future issues they show they'd learned their lesson by reproducing strips like this in landscape format rather than portrait, but for now, this is the best insight into this strip we have.
