The Dying Art of Conversation

In this world of "Tweets" and "Twits" and all manner of truncated sound bites, the art of conversation is really at death's door. When Oprah and her ilk enable us to self diagnose ADHD and empower us to be disengaged from everything and say "It's OK.", I worry for all of us.

The following cartoon is lifted from actual "conversation" (I use the term loosely) on my patio. I don't think it's that far removed from 99.99999999999999% of all conversations out there.

It's no wonder we can't get a health bill passed or make any ground in a peace talk.

This, by the way, is my 300th post on this blog. And this is exactly what I intended it to be.

Thanks to all you readers out there who follow my rambling mind and let me cover whatever ground it seeks day to day.
See y'all tomorrow.
