Unca Jeff, you are on a good path. No matter how far you stray, you are on a good path.
But becoming more stable/less readioactive all the time...not sure if that's good or bad!
You don't need to judge 'good/bad'. Do what feels right at the moment. The past does not exist, the future does not exist. There is only now.
Make 'now' what you want it to be.

I can't imagine living past age 60~ but~ I'm sure if I ever reach 59.364 I will change that tune haha !
