A daily almanac of events and people I admire and appreciate. All things, and the people who did things, that were WORTH DOING! Songs and Cartoons and near-insane ramblings by me, too.

Nemo 19 - 2 of 2 - Russell Patterson, Frank King and Allen Saunders...Oh My!
Nemo: the Classic Comics Library issue 19 concludes today's Sunday Funnies. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
First up, the second half of a spotlight on Russell Patterson, a great "Penmen of the Past"...
A look into the early politial cartoons of "Gasoline Alley" creator Frank King. A wonderful take on Uncle Sam.
And we also get the conclusion to the Allen Saunders autobiography. I still think of all the redeeming qualities this magazine had, among the tops was that they provided an outlet for this work which may have found no other home otherwise.
And with the conclusion, the said obituary for the "Playwright for Paper Actors".
...well done, Nemo.
A fitting way to say goodbye to Mr. Saunders. An entire sequence from Big Cheif Wahoo. First hands at the feet of a comics writer master.
