Whew! When I take a hiatus from blogging, I really lay off! It's been 2 months since "Mad Mondays" began posting "Mad" (THE COMIC BOOK) #13 from July 1954.
Here it is back though, with Jack Davis and Harvey Kurtzman's take on the differences between the book version of a given story and the movie version.
Take note you modernist snobs who scoff unknowingly at the conventions of the past...the married couple on the first page in separate beds. You only announce your ignorance when you scoff at "The Dick Van Dyke Show"...here's proof positive that they knew it was a dumb practice even then.
Dig the crazy "censor" stamp...maybe the birth of the convention in humor.
No matter what though...it's a dang good read with awesome Jack Davis grit roughing up every page.
Dig in.
Talk to you soon.
Yesssssss ! That's the way uh-huh uh-huh I like it uh-huh- uh-huh (swinging polyester shirt around my head on a desktop).
