Nemo number 2: Comics Appreciation with William Randolph Hearst and Art Young

The closing articles of "Nemo: the Classic Comics Library" issue #2 and coming attractions of #3.

First up a little background into William Randolph Hearst's childhood love of the German pre-cursors to the American comic strip. Great background and insight into who would become, among other things, a champion of the art and artists in comics.

And continues it's series of "Penman of the Past" with the wonderful Art Young. If you aren't familiar with Young, you owe it to yourself to take a gander herewith!

I'll leave you with coming attractions of tomorrow's blog posting of "Nemo" #3. One of my top 10 if not 5 heroes of the comics page E.C. Segar gets a 20 page treatment. Very good stuff.

Happy reading!!
