He is the Marx figure that came with the most equipment. You are missing a fair bit of his gear and some of your pieces don't really go to him.

He actually had 4 pistols. Two you are missing, his derringer and his Beretta,(which is what fit in the shoulder holster). The others you have. The 1911 Colt .45, and the Luger, though you only have part of the Luger. It had a pistol barrel with a removeable silencer. Alternately you could turn it into a machine gun with a longer barrel with clip and a scope, shoulder stock and bayonet (the silencer could fit on it as well). There was also a third attachment option. A spring loaded grenade launcher with three small fireable grenades. He also had three regular hand grenades.

The laser pistol looking piece was part of his "secret" surveillance weapon. It had a cone that fit over the barrel to puck up sound, a movie camera that clipped on top, and a stethoscope like piece that plugged into the side so he could listen in.

The small "dagger" you have is his stiletto which could be clipped into the back of his tie, which you are missing. The other knife is not his. His was more dagger like and fit in the side of his briefcase.

There were two slide out pieces in the radio (a barrel and a stock) that turned it into a gun.

The cane you have is Sam Cobra's cane. Mike's was a one piece cane/rifle with a molded on trigger.

He also came with three accessories that would be unthinkable for a children's toy today. There was a two piece tobacco pipe with a bowl that became a pistol, a cigarette lighter/laser, and aa cigarette pack/radio.

There was a tear gas firing pen that could clip in the pocket of his vest. Also a pair of handcuffs, a keychain with three different removable keys, and a belt with loops some of his gear could be hung on. In particular the keychain, flashlight, tape recorder, hand cuffs and hand grenades.

He had a pair of Infra-red glasses, a second pair of disguise glasses with an attached beard, a second soft rubber mask with glasses and false nose, an additional bowler hat, and a Dick Tracy style tv-radio/wristwatch.thefatbasturdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11559108210082428129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6381342123888645002.post-38274116745311311292020-05-15T07:29:41.553-07:002020-05-15T07:29:41.553-07:00One of my earliest recollections of the poor haple...One of my earliest recollections of the poor hapless Alpha Male being topped by a gorgeous opponent.timyticklehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18012793371245572479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6381342123888645002.post-85487651579196015642019-10-13T18:13:34.473-07:002019-10-13T18:13:34.473-07:00Hi Jeff, I'm pretty sure the Sandman story in ...Hi Jeff, I'm pretty sure the Sandman story in Adventure #91 (despite "by Simon & Kirby") is drawn by Gil Kane. There are some telltale signs: angles, architecture, swing and hit lines. Kirby's art is a bit muddlier than this, although I'm sure Gil did his best to emulate it. Look at page 4, panel 4. There's no way Kirby drew that face.Dave Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15048281069952024718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6381342123888645002.post-30163878126441244442019-09-24T03:00:30.545-07:002019-09-24T03:00:30.545-07:00BRILLIANT!!!!

Just look at all the early 1950s allusions not only in Robinson Crusoe, but throughout Bedside.

We had a copy of the book as kids in the 1960s, then about 25 years ago I bought another copy which I still have today.AimlessInLAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09718152552754457700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6381342123888645002.post-69144105344022562712019-09-15T02:45:58.400-07:002019-09-15T02:45:58.400-07:00And the winner is............
